The Jose Maria Sison Legacy Foundation invites you to attend our first event, an online commemoration to mark the second anniversary of the passing of Jose Maria Sison, or “Ka Joma,” as he was popularly known among comrades and friends.
The event, Ang Gabay: Commemorating and carrying on the legacy of Jose Maria Sison, is on 15 December 2024 at 15:00 CET/Utrecht (22:00 PST/Manila, 9:00 EST/NYC, 17:00 EAT/Nairobi).
Ka Joma was an exemplary Filipino revolutionary who – for nearly his entire life (8 Feb 1939 – 16 Dec 2022) – contributed to the national democratic revolution as a guide, torch bearer, beloved warrior and comrade. His insight provided, and continues to provide, clarity of vision and purpose through different rectification movements. He fought for the life and line of the Party including at times fighting for his own life in the process. In this he was always in service to the people.
Our online program is made up of speakers and cultural performances that speak to JMS’ steadfast influence on their lives and the Filipino movement as a whole. In this 1.5hr program we will also be sharing information about how the JMS Legacy Foundation aims to carry forward JMS’ teachings to inspire and motivate current and future generations.
Follow our accounts and sign up for the JMS Legacy Foundation Newsletter to keep up to date with more news on the 15 December event and future activities.
