Jose Maria Sison was a great communist thinker, leader, teacher and guide of the Filipino proletariat and torch bearer of the international communist movement. He was a master of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the ideology of the proletariat. Over the course of his life he was prolific in producing works that are an invaluable resource to all seekers of a just society. This repository aims to bring together a comprehensive collection of JMS’ writings for ease of reference and practical use. At this time the repository contains his works that were published or compiled in book form. As the JMS Legacy Foundation continues our mission of preserving and sharing JMS’ vast catalogue, we will be adding individual articles, statements, and messages – though a majority of these can already be found compiled in the books below.
Since 1961, more than 50 books written by Jose Maria Sison have been published in English, Filipino and other languages. The books listed hereunder chronologically are mostly available as physical copies from libraries of major Philippine, US and West European universities, Popular Bookstore and La Solidaridad in Manila and the NDFP International Office in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Information on how to access/purchase are listed under each book.
N.B. In the interests of making JMS’ works as widely and easily accessible as possible, we are directing users to existing online locations where they have already been made available, or linking them to content that has been uploaded by others. However, this approach has its shortcomings, as these are external sources; their content may be incomplete, early/draft versions, contain errors, or maintained by organizations or individuals that have their own ideological tendencies and political lines that do not always converge with those that Ka Joma espoused. For now we are acting as a directory to these different locations where people can access or purchase these books, but eventually we hope to have all links and downloads officially created or vetted by the Foundation.
