Advanced searchAbout the repository
Jose Maria Sison was a great communist thinker, leader, teacher and guide of the Filipino proletariat and torch bearer of the international communist movement. He was a master of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, the ideology of the proletariat. Over the course of his life he was prolific in producing works that are an invaluable resource to all seekers of a just society. This repository aims to bring together a comprehensive collection of JMS’ writings for ease of reference and practical use.
The Repository launched in 2025 to compile the more than 50 books written by Jose Maria Sison that have been published in English, Filipino and other languages. Through 2026 we continued our mission of preserving and sharing JMS’ vast catalogue by adding individual articles, statements, and messages so that they are easier to access than downloading and looking through each individual book.
Physical copies of the books may be available from libraries of major Philippine, US and West European universities, Popular Bookstore in Manila and the NDFP International Office in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Information on how to access/purchase are listed under each book, but you may also email info@josemariasison.com if you want assistance sourcing a text.
N.B. In the interests of making JMS’ works as widely and easily accessible as possible, we have been directing users to existing online locations where they have already been made available, or linking them to content that has been uploaded by others. However, this approach has its shortcomings, as these are external sources; their content may be incomplete, early/draft versions, contain errors, or maintained by organizations or individuals that have their own ideological tendencies and political lines that do not always converge with those that Ka Joma espoused. For now we are acting as a directory to these different locations where people can access or purchase these books, but we are working on making vetted versions of individual articles available for reliability and ease of access.
How to navigate the repository
The Repository is now organized according to different collections. We are also compiling other collections that group together the different series and types of material that JMS produced. Watch this space as we further develop these collections.
